With so many new spellements and utilities for each school, the Wizard101 Spring 2022 update will make the Rhoshambo update look like a quick patch in comparison. The creativity behind these customizable spellement paths is insane. Here I present all the Myth spellements being added to the game from trained, to lore spells, and in some cases, brand new, never seen before spells!

Where can I obtain these spellements?

While we don’t have the exact locations pinpointed just yet, we do have some useful information to share about this! The update notes reveal the sources, but we wouldn’t exactly call them clear. They reference the below methods one can obtain spellements:

  • Pet Adventure talents like Elemental Retriever can be used to obtain random spellements;
  • a new world chest (like Wooden Chest and Silver Chest) that can be opened with Cantrips spell, Magic Touch but also requires three wizards to unlock;
  • defeating various world bosses by using wizards at appropriate levels.

Some clarifications in regards to world bosses dropping spellements is desperately required and luckily we are in the process of getting some answers real soon! We will update once more is revealed.

Trainer Spells

Spells that can be accessed by using a training point or obtainable for free if your wizard is of the same school as the spell. They are found across spell vendors throughout the Spiral, although generally they are available from the Ravenwood school professors. See our Spellements Guide for details of which World Bosses drop these spellements.

Top Path: (No PvP) Minion maintains the same spells from tier 1, but with higher HP and starting pips depending on each tier.

Bottom Path: (No PvP) Minion gets an entirely different subset of spells, with higher HP and starting pips with each tier.

Bottom Path:Damage reduced, increased by 5 with each tier. Gambit condition: Sacrifice up to two shields on yourself and detonate most recent DOT on opponent with 25% more damage per shield removed.

Bottom Path:Damage reduced to 25 and 410, increased by 5 on first hit at tier 4 and 10 on second hit with each tier. Clears up to 3 shields on opponent and places a 35% trap per shield removed.

Stone Colossus

Bottom Path:Damage set to 585, increased by 10 per tier. Clears up to 3 negative charms on yourself for a 5 round detonate DOT of 175 damage per charm removed.

Lore Spells

These spells are obtained through different sources and not simply trained by your school professor. They were previously found as a rare drop from the Loremaster in the Atheneum, Dragonspyre. Additionally, some could be obtained from lore packs in the Crown Shop or by crafting them.

Middle Path:Damage increased by 5 with each tier.

Splashsquatch

Top Path: Pip cost increased to 1 and damage increased to 530-650. Damage increased by 10 with each tier afterwards.

Bottom Path: Damage reduced to 365-445, increased by 5-10 with each tier. Removes 1 negative charm on yourself.

Athena Battle Sight

Ninja Pigs

Source: Drops from Takanobu the Masterless in Cave of Solitude, Mooshu. Can also be obtained from the Ninja’s Spellemental Pack and Deluxe Spellement Pack.

Grendel’s Amends

Top Path: (No PvP) Heal increased by 15 with each tier.

Bottom Path: Heal removed. Places two 525 absorbs on yourself. Value of the absorbs increases by 5 at tier 3 and 10 at tier 4 and 5.

Hero of Khrysalis

Middle Path: Damage increases by 10-15 with each tier.

Source: Obtainable from the Burrower’s Rebellion Pack.

Arc 4 Spells

The below spells may vary from different sources, although they are generally obtained when completing main line quests. The common factor is that they require access to shadow pips to be cast in combat.

Tatzlewurm Terror

Top Path: (No PvP) Damage and pip cost increased with each tier.

Bottom Path: Damage increased. Places a 40% trap on all opponents. Shadow pip cost increased to 2, and level-locked.

Source: Dropped throughout Karamelle and Novus by various bosses as well as rewarded by main and side quests in Karamelle. Also dropped from Spiritual Retriever pet talent.

Barbarian’s Saga

Top Path:(No PvP) Damage and pip cost increased with each tier.

Bottom Path: Damage reduced on initial hit to 700, DOT increased to 695. Both hits increased by 5 and 10 respectively at tier 3. Shadow pip cost increased to 2, and level-locked.

Improbable Gaze

With so many more different spellements to hunt down and farm for, the end game content just got a full extension like never seen before. Spellements will be found on bosses at the end of each area in the World, and the bosses have a 100% chance of giving you Spellements, so that's the best way to know if you're in the right place. Bosses will be dropping Spellements from their triad (Elemental or Spiritual), and Balance Spellements drop from all.

How many spellements to unlock a spell? ›

To upgrade a spell, you'll need to collect enough of it's Spellemental reagent. The tiers for upgrading cost 35 to unlock the base spell, then go 75, 115, 190, and finally 305. In total, it costs you 720 Spellements to fully unlock a spell you haven't already trained.

Do you get spellements back if you reset? ›

Spent a bunch of Spellements and now want to change paths? No problem! For 100 Crowns, you can reset a spell's upgrade to its first Tier, recouping the Spellements you used to upgrade it. Tier 1 spells are never removed from your character during reset.

Elemental bosses (fire, ice, storm) drop elemental spellements and spirit bosses (life, death, myth) drop spirit spellements. Additionaly, both drop balance spellements.
